MPF Conservation (aka MPFC), located in Portland Oregon,
specializes in antique furniture restoration of many types:
traditional woodworking; finish restoration;
upholstery restoration; textile repair and restoration;
mid-century modern furniture restoration;
modern furniture restoration;
and interior applied architectural elements,
such as traditionally shellacked walls (see below).
With wooden objects, whether they are Mid-Century Modern or antiquities from the 17th-19th centuries such as the Berkey & Gay piece above right, we prefer finish restoration rather than stripping. In this way, we preserve the original finish,
adding to the value of your antiquity or family heirloom.
